Pop-up campers and hybrid trailers are the entry-level RV — the trailer you tow with a Camry or a Tacoma and unfold into a tent-cabin once you reach the campground. They're light, they're affordable, and they have one big maintenance problem: canvas. The canvas panels that pop up to form the bedroom ends collect mildew, dirt, and tree sap, and they're awkward enough that most owners never clean them properly. We do. We unfold the camper, clean each canvas panel by hand, treat them with mildew-killer if needed, and reproof them with waterproofing spray. The hardshell stays clean with normal RV wash, but the canvas is where the real work is.

Pop-up assessment — we set up the camper with you, inspect each canvas panel for mildew, holes, sap, and stitching.
Pre-rinse the hardshell base trailer with fresh water; cover canvas to avoid soaking before cleaning step.
Hand-wash hardshell with pH-neutral soap.
Canvas panels: brush each panel with canvas-safe cleaner (often Star Brite Canvas Cleaner or similar). Mildew gets a separate mildew-killer pass.
Allow canvas to dry in sun completely before any waterproofing application.
Reproof canvas with a waterproof spray (303 Fabric Guard, Star Brite Waterproofing) — only after fully dry.
A-frame camper joints (if applicable): gasket inspection, conditioner application to keep gaskets supple.
Hardshell roof: rubber or fiberglass UV protectant.

Yes. Mildew on canvas comes off with a specific mildew-killer (oxygen bleach-based, not chlorine bleach). We brush each panel, let the treatment work, rinse, and dry in sun. Severe mildew may not fully disappear but we'll get a major improvement. After cleaning, we reproof with waterproofing spray.
Yes — after the canvas is fully clean and fully dry. We use 303 Fabric Guard or Star Brite waterproofing depending on the fabric. Restores water beading and slows future mildew. Typically lasts 6-12 months.
Yes — we set it up with you so we can clean the canvas properly. We also re-fold it at the end and check that everything packs down correctly. Many pop-up owners haven't set theirs up in months; we treat it as part of the service.
A-frame (Aliner, A-Liner Scout, Chalet) campers are all hardshell, so there's no canvas to worry about. We focus on the panel joints — the gaskets that seal the A-frame when it's set up. We clean and condition them, inspect for cracking, and flag if any need replacement.
Yes — we'll meet you at Garner, Pedernales Falls, Inks Lake, Lost Maples, Enchanted Rock, Lake Whitney, and any campground in the area. Especially useful for pop-up owners who don't have anywhere at home to set the camper up.
A standard tent-trailer detail (canvas clean, hardshell wash, interior, reproof) starts at $300. Heavy mildew adds time and chemistry, pushing to $400-500. A-frame and hybrid trailers run $400-700 depending on size and condition.
