Sport bowriders, day cruisers, and cabin cruisers — for the boats that live in a slip and need to look like new when the family arrives.
Sea Ray, Cobalt, Chaparral, Regal, Four Winns, Bayliner. Slip-kept boats with cabin interiors get a full above-and-below-deck treatment — including head, galley, and bilge.
Service specs
A 28-foot Sea Ray Sundancer at Hurst Harbor on Lake Travis is a different beast than a bass boat or a center console. It sits in a covered slip nine months a year. The family uses it three weekends. The cabin holds a head, a galley, a fridge, and a leather settee that's been baking in trapped sun. The hull below the waterline grows a beard of algae. The cockpit upholstery accumulates sunscreen and citronella smoke. Cabin interiors smell musty by the second weekend of the summer because the air handler doesn't run when nobody's onboard. A cruiser detail is half boat work, half cabin restoration — and it's our most time-intensive single-day boat service.
Slip-kept boats grow algae and slime on the waterline that needs proper hull cleaner. Cabin interiors hide moisture in carpet, headliner, and behind cushions. Leather settees and helm seats need real conditioning to stay supple. Bilges collect slow drips of oil and old cooler-melt water that smell when you reopen the cabin after a week. Heads (boat toilets) need pump-out coordination and a full deep clean. Galley appliances — fridge, microwave, sink drains — need food-safe sanitization. We've gotten dozens of phone calls that started with 'my wife says it smells like a wet basement in the cabin' — and we've fixed every one.
Texas reality check. Lake Travis, Lake LBJ, and Possum Kingdom marinas are full of 25-35 foot cruisers and bowriders. Many sit in covered slips at Hurst Harbor, Briarcliff, Lakeway, Volente, Horseshoe Bay, or Cypress Bend. The slip cover doesn't stop algae waterlines — it actually traps humidity in the cabin and accelerates the mildew that makes a cruiser smell stale. We've cleaned more than one cabin where the previous owner just kept piling air fresheners on top of mildew. The fix is steam, ozone, and ventilation — not Febreze.
Hull walk-through with the owner, water-line assessment, and confirmation of whether the boat needs an above-waterline-only detail or a haul-out for bottom service.
Pressure rinse from rail down to waterline; algae waterline beard cleaned with marine hull cleaner before any polish.
Gelcoat polish above the waterline — DA polisher, finish-appropriate pads, two-stage on heavy oxidation.
Cockpit vinyl and helm seating: marine cleaner, UV conditioner; leather cockpit seating gets a leather-specific cleaner-and-condition.
Cabin entry: open hatches, run dehumidifier or fan to start cabin airflow before any wet cleaning begins.
Cabin headliner spot-cleaned with mild upholstery cleaner; carpet vacuumed and spot-extracted.
Cabin leather settee, helm chair, and dinette cushions cleaned and conditioned panel by panel.
Head (toilet) deep-cleaned and deodorized, fresh-water hose check; if pump-out needed, we coordinate with marina.
Galley: fridge interior wiped and deodorized, sink drains flushed, countertops sanitized, microwave interior cleaned.
Bilge wash — flush oil and standing water, spot-clean residue, deodorize. Cabin ozone treatment available as add-on.
Stainless rails, cleats, hatch hardware polished. Glass and acrylic ports cleaned with Plexus.
Every item on this list runs on every cruisers job. No upsells at the door.

Almost always, yes. Cabin smell is bacteria in headliner, carpet, and cushion foam. We clean every surface, run ozone for 2-4 hours, ventilate, and the smell is gone. We've never met a cruiser cabin we couldn't fix without ripping interior out.
Above-waterline algae we handle directly. Below-waterline (the bottom paint area) requires a haul-out — we coordinate with your marina for that service and inspect/touch-up bottom paint and zincs when the boat is out of the water.
Yes, and it's worth what we charge for it. Boat heads need a full pump-out coordination, fresh-water hose flush, and a deep clean with marine-safe sanitizer. We handle the whole sequence.
Yes — Hurst Harbor, Volente Beach, Briarcliff, Lakeway, Vintage, and most private slips. Also Lake LBJ (Horseshoe Bay, Highland Lakes), Canyon Lake (Cypress Bend, Cranes Mill), and Possum Kingdom.
