People ask the same question before their first mobile detail: "Do I need to have anything ready?" No. The whole point of the Detail Doctor van is that it arrives as a complete shop on wheels. Here is what is on board and why it matters to you.
Our own water
The van carries a fresh-water tank sized for a full day of jobs, plus a pressure system that does not depend on your spigot. If you live in a condo, park in a garage, or your HOA frowns on hoses across the lawn, none of that is a problem. We never touch your water bill.
Our own power
A quiet onboard power system runs the pressure washer, extractor, polisher, and steamer. We do not run cords into your house. If we are working in a hangar or a storage yard with no outlets, nothing changes.
Lighting that finds what daylight hides
Swirl marks, water spots, and haze on a headlight only show under the right light. The van carries detailing lights so we can see a panel the way a paint shop sees it, whether we are in a shaded driveway at 8 a.m. or under a carport at dusk.
A full product shelf, sorted by surface
Paint, glass, leather, fabric, plastic trim, gelcoat, aircraft acrylic: each one wants a different chemistry. The van is stocked by surface, so the product that goes on your seats is made for seats and the one that goes on your boat is marine-grade. We do not carry one bucket of "all-purpose" and hope.
Containment
Wash water is captured and disposed of properly, not sent down your storm drain. It keeps your driveway clean and keeps us on the right side of city rules.
What we need from you
A parking spot with a few feet of room around the vehicle, and the keys. That is the whole list. Most customers hand us the keys and go back to their day.
